*We do not add a surcharge for registering your domain for you; however, there is a domain registration fee imposed by the registrar. You can register your domain yourself by visiting our Registration page.

Payment information: Billings are monthly, paid in advance, with the previous month's traffic added, as necessary. All invoices are issued by eMail at mid-month. Payment may be made by automatic credit card debit (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover), or by check or money order in US funds. When paying by mail, please note: payment must be received before the due date to insure uninterrupted service. No refunds or prorated billings are offered under any circumstances, unless our services are unavailable due to technical difficulties within our facility. Please contact us for additional details.

RDUonline will register your desired Domain Name for you. Registering your desired www.domain runs $35/year. You will be the owner of the domain, we simply do the paperwork for you. If you already own your domain, we'll conduct the transfer of the DNS infomation, usually within 24 hours of notice. We will also manage domain renewals for you. It's that simple.

If you already have a domain, we can help you relocate from your present provider. Or, you can transfer it yourself. Opening a hosting account starts the process, and once your account is active, visit the appropriate InterNIC registrar and transfer your domain name. Moving a site is often pretty painless: the basic website can be moved over in the time it takes to change your site links. If you do not have a copy of all of the files and graphics on disk, contact your designer for them before you move your site. Our designers can obtain most of a site from the web, but this process can be incomplete and may incur a fee. Also note: users of FrontPage may find some incompatibilities due to Microsoft programming constraints and security flaws. Some special features, such as web forms, counters or dynamic database content may require more attention - contact us if you have a question about what is required to move your site.

We recommend using Mozilla, GoLive, DreamWeaver or raw html code editors like BBEdit or WinNote. Word processors such as MS Word, Wordperfect or Appleworks will often generate extraneous or bad code -- avoid them as well as FrontPage. Links to useful software is found on our Basics page.
